This self-study report is an evaluation of the Board of Jewish Education (BJE). The objectives of the Joint Self-Study Committee were: 1. To review and describe the goals and programs of BJE; 2. To highlight problem areas and current needs; 3. To make recommendations for necessary program revisions. The recommendations of this study are based upon Jewish education needs in Greater New York as viewed by a variety of experts and lay leaders.
