By Daniel Yoffe, Nora Blaistein

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), March 2003

The ability of the Argentinian Jewish community to meet the needs of this new group so rapidly was due to the strong partnership between lay people and professionals and the assistance of world Jewry through the the Joint Distribution Commitee (JDC) and the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI).
