The Influence of Women in Israel

By Annette Dulzin

World Zionist Organization (WZO), Winter 1979

The author discusses the influence of women in Israel and argues that at least in one respect, women have the best of both worlds in Israel. Whether they work or whether they stay at home they are respected. This respect is especially important in this country which is still a meritocracy to a great extent, and where the primary criterion is the person's contribution to the well-being of the state.
