This report is the fourth in a series for the Jewish Communal Appeal on the demography of the Sydney Jewish community. The report commences with a general overview of the Jewish population, including statistics on demographic trends, education, the elderly, and intermarriage. Large scale immigration, concentration in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney, a larger elderly population than the average population, and a move towards Jewish day schools are some of the major demographic trends discussed in this report.
