Blog Post: Iran, Iraq, and a Grand Middle East Strategy.doc

By Leonard Fein

Americans for Peace Now, December 2006

In the shadow of the release of the Iraq Study Group report, the author discusses the inclusion of Syria and Iran in a resolution to the US quagmire in Iraq, and the ways in which this multi-lateral resolution will shift the balance of power in the region. This increase in the influence of these belligerent powers further demonstrates the need for a grand peace strategy â€" not just ceasefires with the Palestinians.
