Why Do We Fawn Over John Hagee

By Leonard Fein

Forward Association, 2008

John Hagee's support of Israel may be genuine, and it may be independent from his interpretation in the role of the Jews in the build-up to the second coming of Christ. But must his support of Israel cover up all of his outlandish opinions, xenophobia and sexism from the Jewish community? And while politics and religion may make strange bedfellows, that does not mean that all must fawn and encourage a man like John Hagee.
