Eyewitness to Slavery and Freedom

The Seder is an inherently political act. It is a story of freedom and slavery, of witness and rebellion. At a time when human dignity is being assaulted around the world on a daily basis, to simply catalogue injustice would be a heartbreaking litany of terror and injury. Rather, the Seder should be constructive, ensuring that all of us see ourselves as having passed from slavery to freedom. This process enlarges us.
