It is impossible to walk with my wife. Our speeds and our metaphysics are in conflict. Her goal is to cover ground, mine to see. And naturally the more I see, the slower I walk; and the slower 1 walk, the- more I see. My walk sometimes exceed a few dozen feet; her walk sometimes covers miles.
