The United Way as a Source of Jewish Communal Leaders

By Deborah Kaplan Polivy

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), March 1979

The author presents results of a study comparing Jewish professionals who work for United Way with Jewish professionals who work for a Jewish Federation. The study examines parameters such as income, education and Jewish identification. The author suggests it would be in the interest of the Jewish Federation to develop a system of "exchange" of Jewish leaders with the United Way. In Journal of Jewish Communal Service, v.55 no.3, Spring 1979.
