Reaffirming Jewish Life: The Challenge of Change

By Sidney Z. Vincent

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), September 1979

The author reviews the political, social and demographic changes, both positive and negative, affecting the Jewish communal profession from 1945 to 1979. He suggests three broad requirements for the Jewish communal field to respond to these changes: for Jewish communal work to be 1) more Jewish, 2) more personalized, and 3) more unified. In Journal of Jewish Communal Service, v.56 no.1, Fall 1979.
