Cooperative Planning for Discharge From Geriatric Institutional Care

By Miriam Schneider

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), June 1980

The author describes a program of cooperation between a geriatric hospital and a Jewish family service agency in which a case worker assisted with intake and discharge of patients entering the hospital for temporary stays. The author details advantages to this approach over the alternative, in which hospital staff alone handles patient discharge. In Journal of Jewish Communal Service, v.56 no.4, Summer 1980.
