The immigration of several hundred thousand Russians to Israel will change the whole face of Israeli society, affecting the peace process, relations between Israel and the superpowers, and economic, religious, political, and social development within Israel. The assistance given to the new immigrants not only will affect them but also the absorbersâ??the Israelis who are providing that assistance. This article analyzes the multifaceted impact of the large-scale Russian immigration on Israeli society.
