Restoring Employment -- Integral to Disaster Management and Recovery

By Gail A. Magaliff, Steven M. Crimando

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), Fall 2007

Vocational recovery efforts need to be integrated into all phases of disaster management, the authors assert. They discuss how vocational recovery can be integrated into larger models of disaster management, including the planning phase. The authors also present evidence to suggest that there may be a notable increase in the frequency, severity and duration of disasters in coming years.
