This report presents the findings of a 1984 survey on the Jewish identification and affiliation of Soviet Jewish immigrants in New York. The authors create a demographic profile of Soviet Jews in the city, explore the history of these immigrants, and examine their impressions of Jewish places and programs in America. Furthermore, the authors present recommendations for community education and program development to create unity between Soviet Jews and American Jews.
