The author describes a program initiated by his agency, the Jewish Center for Aged in St. Louis, MO, intended to meet the transportation needs of elderly clients through the active involvement of the elderly clients themselves in the process of defining their needs and by utilizing their resources to meet these needs through a program of community action. He details the creation, planning and development of the program.
