The Status of Religious Pluralism in Israel

This symposium features speakers from a variety of religious and academic backgrounds who discuss validating Conservative and Reform Judaism in Israel. Integral to the discussion is the history of defining who is Jewish according to Jewish law (halacha) as well as Israeli law.  The speakers also discuss the ongoing conflict between religious and secular Judaism from the Emancipation through the present day.
