By Dov Friedlander, Penina Morag Talmon, Daphne Ruth Moshayov

American Jewish Committee (AJC), February 1991

This study addresses the social backgrounds and motives of the North American students who were enrolled in the One-Year Program of the Rothberg School for Overseas Students at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem during the 1987-1988 school year. The results revealed that the majority of the students enrolled for educational and recreational purposes, however, the program greatly strengthened their sense of Jewish identity.
