Tasks of the Conference in the Forthcoming Year

By Martha K. Selig

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), National Conference of Jewish Communal Service, Fall 1968

The incoming president of the National Conference of Jewish Communal Service outlines her vision for the immediate future of the organization. She calls for improved cooperation and identification between the Jewish professional members of Conference and members of three other groups: the rabbinate, the university faculty community, and Jewish educators. As well, she emphasizes the importance of establishing a global network of Jewish professionals and the role that the new International Conference can play in it. Overall, she highlights the Conference as the perfect place to envision solutions to the problems of the day and urges all its members to dedicate themselves to social improvement.
