Editor's Notes

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), National Conference of Jewish Communal Service, Spring 1961

Two letters to the editor reflect on the reviews of the thirteen volumes of the Curriculum Study that had been published in the summer 1960 edition of the Journal of Jewish Communal Service. The author of the first letter suggests that all thirteen volumes be read together, not separately, and critiques especially the reviewer of Volume X. The author of the second letter shares his disappointment that the reviews did not reflect on the Curriculum Study's impact on Jewish communities specifically: "It seems to me that the Journal can be and should be the instrument through which Jewish communal workers, many of whom are social workers, consider the needs of the Jewish community and analyze the developments and new findings in social work and other disciplines in order to see how they can be used to better serve the Jewish community.
