Fact and Opinion

By Theodore R. Isenstadt

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), National Conference of Jewish Communal Service, Spring 1961

This article presents in brief a miscellaneous sample of happenings in Jewish communities around the world. In particular are noted social work conferences in Rome, Washington, DC, Montreal, and Israel. One letter to the editor critiques two perspectives shared in a previous journal on curriculum planning, and another shares a summary of the research design and findings of a study recently published (Ingroup Identification and Outgroup Association: A Theoretical and Experimental Study). Finally, the perspectives of Jewish social work departments in medical agencies about the National Conference of Jewish Communal Service are shared, indicating especially a feeling that too many executives and not enough practitioners attend these annual meetings.
