Editorial Comment: Crisis in the General Society and the Jewish Community

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), National Conference of Jewish Communal Service, Fall 1969

The editor reviews the articles included in the Fall 1969 issue of the Journal of Jewish Communal Service. These articles follow the theme of the deepening crisis, domestic and in the Middle East, with particular reference to its consequences for Jewry and to the responsibilities of Jewish communal workers. In particular, most articles in the journal address Black-Jewish relations from a variety of perspectives. As well, a final article details the decline of interest in Jewish communal work among Jewish students in schools of social work.
