George W. Rabinoff - In Memoriam

On February 7, 1970, George Rabinoff passed away. Rabinoff had served as secretary and president of the National Conference of Jewish Communal Service and dedicated more than fifty years to humanitarian social work. He was instrumental in the establishment of effective social work agencies around the country and was an early contributor to the Wurzweiler School of Social Work of Yeshiva University, the School of Jewish Communal Service at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles, and the Hornstein Program at the Masters level at Brandeis University. He was a patient builder with a profound faith in the democratic and social work process.
