Fact and Opinion

By Samuel Spiegler

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), National Conference of Jewish Communal Service, Spring 1972

This article presents in brief a miscellaneous sample of happenings in Jewish communities around the world. These include a new partnership between the Yeshiva University School of Wurzweiler Social Work and the New York City Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, an increase of Hebrew and Jewish studies in public high schools and universities, a report of a Reform temple with a one-third black preschool whose population primarily sends their children to predominantly white private schools, and a celebration of Israeli cows that broke the world record for milk production. As well, a letter to the editor from the Director of Jewish Services at Kent State University results in that college's receipt of a complimentary subscription to the Journal of Jewish Communal Service, and David Weiss and Jack Sher contribute two poems entitled "Adoration" and "If There Wouldn't Be a Me.
