It's About Time: Uncovering a Jewish Approach to Space Making

By Sarah O'Leary

Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association (RRA), Fall 2004

The author examines Jewish thought about time and space through theology and history. She discusses how this thought has been interpreted within architectural theory, and she suggests ways that it is manifest in design and how it can inform the way space is used. The author believes that building and adapting spaces with attention to time creates a heightened experience of living.
