Vintage Perspectives: Two Views on Jewish Growth: A Retrospective from the Pages of The Reconstructionist

Concern about the Jewish birth rate in North America has been raised on a regular basis over the past decades. On more than one occasion, the Reconstructionist has taken an editorial position in response. The twenty year interval between the two editorials contained in this article correlates with the rise of Jewish feminism, dramatic changes in the concept of the family and a number of other social evolutions and revolutions.
