Shaping Our Jewish Future: A report to the community

Rose Community Foundation, 2008

This report outlines the work of the Roots & Branches Foundation, which is a unique opportunity for Jews ages 25 to 40 to be involved in Jewish life through hands-on philanthropy. Each year, a small group of people are selected to participate in this six-month program focused on Jewish philanthropic traditions, community needs and grantmaking. Each year, the members of Root & Branches create their own grant process to give away up to $100,000. This report discusses challenges and opportunities in responding to the economic downturn, how the new generation is exploring new approaches to philanthropy, how the foundations has made a difference in the community, and information on how to apply for the program.
