Current Research in the Jewish Social Service Field

By Esther Beckenstein

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), National Conference of Jewish Social Welfare, September 1949

Using Bertram Black's article, "Evaluation of Current Research in the Jewish Social Service Field" as a springboard, Esther Beckenstein offers some brief comments on current research in the Jewish social service field. In the author's opinion, emphasis must be placed on better research, in contradistinction to the call for more research. Furthermore, she re-emphasizes Black's opinion that practitioners must be involved in research and calls for establishing some media of communication for social workers, among a few other topics covered.
