Synagogue Membership in the United Kingdom in 2010

By David Graham, Daniel Vulkan

Institute for Jewish Policy Research (JPR), The Board of Deputies of British Jews, May 13, 2010

A report published jointly for the first time by the Board of Deputies of British Jews and JPR, and co-authored by Dr David Graham, JPR's Director of Social and Demographic Research, and Daniel Vulkan, Research and Information Officer at the Board, reveals a dynamic picture of communal change in the UK community, and charts significant changes in its religious make-up. The report is of particular interest to community leaders and planners because it provides the only consistent indicator of patterns of Jewish affiliation and Jewish belonging over time.
