By Elsa Leichter

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), National Conference of Jewish Social Welfare, December 1946

The field of family casework has been deeply affected by the tremendous social, economic and political changes of the last years. As the smallest and most fundamental unit in society, the traditional family has undergone the most profound changes, and in many instances, complete reorganization.
