Approaching Sexual Discovery

By Doreen Siedler-Feller

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), February 2009

The author asserts that approaching pubescent teen boys enthralled by sex remains a challenge for educators. She emphasizes the need for a partnership between educational settings and parents to engage teens with reflective discussions about sex and a sex ethic, Jewish or otherwise. She concludes that this area demands extensive curricular elaboration and requires psychological sophistication and courage.
