Letter to President Bush: Wrestling with God

By Jay Michaelson

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), January 2005

In a letter to Bush on the eve of his new term, the author wonders how we can keep our eyes open, as both Jewish and Christian prophets urged. Your faith, he tells Bush, gives you strength in leadership. But even our faith in God can, occasionally, cause us to be blind; the true man of faith is not the one who is sure of his opinions - it is the one so sure in his God that he dares to question these opinions.
