The Jewish People in the Age of Globalization

By Anita Shapira

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), January 2006

The author discusses globalization from the perspective of Jewish peoplehood. She argues that although we have no control over globalization as a worldwide economic process, the counter-reaction to it must come from us - out of the recognition of our cultural uniqueness, our pride in it and our desire to sustain it, even in the face of sweeping sameness.
