More than Consumer Needs

By Kenneth Chasen

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), November 2007

The author discusses the key challenge that faces Reform Judaism's leaders. Today's rabbis will have to be willing to take risks that unsettle their own stakeholders, conditioning their communities to endure and even welcome failures with the confidence that the learning achieved through failing will produce otherwise inaccessible success. They will need to accept the mantle of imaginative leadership that has defined the ascent of Reform Judaism.
