A "Seder" for Rosh Hashanah

By David Arnow

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), September 2005

The author describes his family's Rosh Hashana seder. Before the festive meal they read relevant readings illuminating the meaning of blowing the shofar and then proceed to the shofar ritual, in which youngsters plus adults participate. He concludes that as powerful as Rosh Hashanah can be, the opportunity for families to creatively engage with the holiday allows it to have even greater impact.
