The author discusses job satisfaction for teachers in Jewish day schools, as affected by their relationships with other teachers, the schools' Jewish content, and their students. Although schools must consider students to be their primary constituents, the author asserts that if Jewish schools organize and market themselves as environments in which teachers will find multiple sources of satisfaction, they will have more success recruiting and retaining teachers.
