It's Not So Easy

By Lucy Y. Steinitz

CLAL: the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, April 1, 1994

The author argues that the ten commandments of Jewish communal service that Jeffrey Solomon lists (in this issue of Sh'ma) are a useful starting point, but there are ambiguities remaining in how to execute them. The four dilemmas discussed are those of definition, conflict, limits and application.
