Endthoughts: Tisha B'Av At the Kotel

By Scott White

CLAL: the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, September 19, 1997

The author recounts a unifying spiritual experience at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. This place is now a point of contention between the ultra-Orthodox Israeli Jews and the rest of the Jewish people. The divergence threatens to cut Israel off from Diaspora Jews and severely weaken the Jewish people as a whole.
