A Systems Approach to School and Synagogue Change: The Case of Beth Am Israel

The following case study illustrates the potential of part-time Jewish education to provide an arena in which limits can be challenged and excellent practice flourish. The authors outline the implications of a paradigm shift toward seeing the congregation as a system, within which both synagogue and school function as interrelated elements.
